Duties
- Manage daily administrative functions, including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and billing processes using Dentrix or similar practice management software
- Supervise front desk staff and support team members to ensure a welcoming and organized office environment
- Coordinate with dental professionals to facilitate smooth patient flow and treatment scheduling
- Oversee human resources tasks such as staff onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and compliance with employment policies
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) and ensure confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations
- Handle insurance claims processing, billing inquiries, and financial transactions with precision
- Assist in budgeting activities by monitoring office expenses and optimizing resource allocation
- Support compliance with medical terminology standards and hospital or healthcare facility protocols when applicable
Skills
- Proven experience managing a dental office or medical practice with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix or comparable dental practice management software
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems and healthcare documentation standards
- Familiarity with medical terminology, billing procedures, and insurance claim processes
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams
- Background in human resources functions within healthcare settings, including staffing and compliance oversight
- Experience in budgeting, financial management, or hospital/acute care environments is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, vendors, and healthcare providers
