This role involves safely operating a large excavator for deep trenching, utility installation, and heavy civil earthworks while working closely with the pipe crew.
Operate mainline excavator for deep trenching, utility installation, and heavy earthworks
Excavate trenches to line, grade, and depth for water & sewer installations
Handle pipe, structures, and bedding materials safely and efficiently
Work closely with pipe layers, laborers, and foremen to maintain production
Maintain awareness of underground utilities and trench safety at all times
Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
Maintain safe, professional operation around crews, traffic, and equipment
Follow all safety procedures, municipal standards, and project requirements
