Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to an individual within the home. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of the client by offering personalized support tailored to their needs. This role is vital for ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for those receiving care.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient care including medication administration
- Support with meal preparation as needed
- Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Assist with activities tailored to specific needs (i.e. working with a person with a disability
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and quality of life through personalized care plans
- Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices, medication administration, and caregiving techniques
- Familiarity with working with people with disabilities is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for client mobility or transfers
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
- Ability to work independently
- Valid certification or training in caregiving or nursing-related fields is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must be reliable, patient-focused, and committed to providing exceptional support to clients
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 33.25 per week
