Job Title: Project Manager – Woodworking / Millwork
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Work Type: On-site (office-based)
We are hiring a Project Manager to manage custom millwork and cabinetry projects from start to finish. This role involves coordinating between clients, consultants, shop staff, and installers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
Responsibilities:
- Review project scope, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare material take-offs and coordinate with Purchasing
- Take site measurements and prepare production drawings and cut lists
- Coordinate with the workshop during production and with site teams during installation
- Maintain communication with clients throughout the project
- Attend client and site meetings as required
- Coordinate with estimators on changes and pricing
- Coordinate with drafting team on shop drawings and revisions
- Develop and manage project schedules and timelines
- Monitor progress, investigate delays, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure quality control, cost management, and schedule compliance
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve project issues
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree with 5+ years experience in millwork project management
- Strong knowledge of woodworking materials, production, and installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
- Experience with CAD, SketchUp, or Rhino (required)
- Experience with Microvellum, SolidWorks, or 20/20 is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience in the woodworking / millwork industry (required)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
