Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. The Server will play a vital role in creating a positive atmosphere for guests while maintaining efficiency and professionalism throughout their shift.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to health and safety regulations
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or concerns, resolving issues professionally
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cashiering and transaction accuracy
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, especially in serving roles
- Familiarity with food preparation, serving techniques, and hospitality standards
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance the dining experience
- Basic kitchen experience or food industry knowledge is a plus
