Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bid Coordinator/Estimator to join our construction team. This role is vital in preparing accurate project bids, managing proposal documentation, and supporting project management efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project coordination, and pricing strategies, with proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and scope of work using Bluebeam and HeavyBid software.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing data and negotiate terms to ensure competitive bids.
- Manage the entire bidding process from initial inquiry to submission, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive bid documents, including scope of work, pricing sheets, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct market research to stay informed of current material costs, labor rates, and industry trends affecting project estimates.
- Assist in reviewing contracts and proposals to identify potential risks or opportunities for cost savings.
- Support project management teams during the execution phase by providing accurate cost analysis and updates as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating or bid coordination within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu for document markup and collaboration.
- Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, labor costs, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of contract review and risk assessment related to bidding activities. This position is integral to our project's success and offers a dynamic environment for professionals passionate about construction estimation and project coordination.
Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
