Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures using various materials and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, carpentry, and concrete forming, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Framer will play a vital part in building residential, commercial, or restoration projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met throughout each phase of construction. Framing Work in Grandmothers Bay Looking for an individual who is willing to travel. Hotel is paid ASWELL LOA meal allowance.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and metal framing components using hand tools and power tools
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery safely for tasks such as concrete forming and heavy lifting
- Install siding, perform concrete finishing, and assist with restoration work as needed
- Ensure all framing work aligns with building codes and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with other tradespeople including welders, carpenters, and concrete finishers to complete projects on schedule
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Needs Class 5 License

Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans
- Experience with concrete forming, concrete finishing, and restoration techniques
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, woodworking tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of siding installation and general carpentry skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
