Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and providing a memorable dining experience. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, along with strong communication and multitasking skills. The Server will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hospitality, upselling menu items, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed during food handling and serving
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and positive reviews
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accuracy
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, upselling, and hospitality best practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
