About Us:
Set the Route. Build the Stoke. Create Community. Join the RRC as a Climbing Wall Specialist!
If you think in sequences, instinctively double check a knot, and know there is no better sound than someone yelling “Take!” after a hard send this might be your wall.
The Regional Recreation Corporation (RRC) is looking for a Climbing Wall Specialist who lives and breathes climbing culture. Someone who understands that great route setting tells a story, that solid belays build trust, and that the right beta at the right moment can turn frustration into breakthrough.
At the RRC, the wall is more than panels and holds. It is where first climbs happen, fears get faced, projects get sent, and community is built between attempts. You will be at the center of it all, keeping standards high, energy positive, and safety uncompromising.
As a Climbing Wall Specialist, you will:
- Own the safety standard: from harness checks to belay tests to vigilant floor awareness
- Set and reset thoughtful, movement driven routes that challenge beginners and seasoned crushers alike
- Coach with intention: offering technical feedback, smart beta, and encouragement that builds real confidence
- Cultivate climbing culture where respect, inclusion, and hype for each other’s sends come naturally
- Collaborate with a strong team that communicates clearly and shares pride in a well run wall
You are experienced, calm under pressure, and comfortable switching from teaching a first time climber how to tie in to forerunning a new line. You care about clean falls, good flow, and creating an environment where everyone regardless of age, background, or ability feels like they belong on the wall.
Our values: Safety, Collaboration, Innovation, Sustainability, and Diversity show up in every knot check, every route tweak, and every “You’ve got this.”
Ready to build something bigger than a route? Apply today and help us create community one send at a time.
