Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on pet products, supplies, and accessories
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate items based on their pets’ needs and preferences
- Maintain store cleanliness, organize shelves, and ensure product displays are attractive and fully stocked
- Handle heavy lifting of large bags of pet food, supplies, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Educate customers on proper pet care practices and answer questions about various animals and products
- Support the health and safety of pets by ensuring store areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Process transactions accurately at the register while providing excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including moving large bags of pet food or equipment
- Passion for animals and interest in learning about pet care products and animal welfare
- Excellent communication skills to assist diverse customers effectively
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift
