Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our landscaping team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping and gardening tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, experience with landscape maintenance, and mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the beautification of residential and commercial properties.
Responsibilities
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns using hand tools, power tools, and lawn equipment
- Operate machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems for landscape projects
- Perform gardening tasks including planting, fertilizing, pruning, and weed control
- Maintain and repair landscape features and irrigation systems as needed
- Assist with construction or installation projects related to landscape design
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and environmental guidelines during all operations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to lawn equipment, excavators, and irrigation systems
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and construction machinery safely
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and plant care techniques
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license is a plus for operating larger machinery or transporting equipment
