Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and maintaining inventory integrity. This role requires familiarity with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving processes, and equipment operation such as forklifts and power walkies. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment with a focus on order fulfillment and warehouse distribution. Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse and freezer.
Duties
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, power walkies , or manual handling techniques
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and accurately
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase.
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations following proper procedures
- Pick orders efficiently using order pickers or other equipment to meet customer requirements
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities within the warehouse management system
- Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, weights, and measurements
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles preferred
- Familiarity with food safety measures.
- Experience operating forklifts, power walkies, or other material handling equipment required; certification preferred
- Ability to perform order picking and packing efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order calculations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with physical demands such as lifting up to 60 pounds regularly
- Good communication skills and ability to follow safety protocols at all times
Pay: $25.00-$26.00 per hour
