We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative Project Coordinator to join our team in Fort St. John, BC or Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and wants to make an impact through thoughtful project planning and execution.
As a Project Coordinator, you’ll work closely with managers and leads to ensure successful delivery of environmental field programs, working closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to support regulatory compliance across upstream and midstream oil and gas projects. From analyzing data and guiding environmental decisions to ensuring seamless execution, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality work that aligns with both client expectations and our company values.
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Coordinator with a strong background in assessment, remediation, and reclamation program management within the oil, gas, and energy sectors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of progressive expertise in environmental site assessments (Stage 1 and Stage 2 PSIs and DSIs), remediation, reclamation, regulatory compliance, and environmental closure processes, including coordination with provincial and federal permitting requirements.

Make a Difference
- Work closely with project managers to develop client relationships and project strategy.
- Oversee Stage 2 PSIs and DSIs including drilling, soil sampling, and groundwater monitoring.
- Lead the development, strategic planning, and successful execution of remediation and reclamation projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory standards.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous partners, landowners, regulators, and energy producers, to align project goals and address community concerns.
- Complete reports, plans, and assessments pertaining to the investigation, reclamation, remediation, and management of contaminated sites.
- Oversee project reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project objectives.
- Analyze and interpret collected field data and write comprehensive technical reports.
- Oversee budget tracking and manage contractor relationships to ensure project milestones and financial objectives are met.
- Commit to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to established health, safety, and quality standards.
- Lead project safety initiatives, report potential hazards, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Showcase your Education & Expertise
- Undergraduate degree in one of the following disciplines: Science or Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in environmental projects, with a focus on site assessments, remediation, and reclamation within the oil, gas, or energy sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental site assessments (Stage 1 and Stage 2 PSIs and DSIs) and regulatory compliance, particularly with BCER and federal permitting requirements.
- The professional must be a member in good standing with a British Columbia professional association.
- Familiarity with environmental remediation, reclamation, and restoration techniques, especially on contaminated sites and spill-impacted areas.
- Proficient in designing and executing site characterization, delineation programs, and spill response/clean-up operations.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, communication skills and technical writing skills.
- Having a good sense of humour and strong admiration of our Mullet Culture is always an asset
