Job Overview
I am seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children, including those with disabilities. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Work alone with 8 children and have a knowledge of licensing regulations
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child's individual needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and learning materials
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and licensing requirements
This job can be very flexible. I am looking for someone to help me part time starting immediately. It could be partial days or full days, and that is something we can discuss! This is a multi-age daycare in the basement of my own home. I will be going on maternity leave in December, but will be wanting to scale back working starting immediately. I am unsure if/how much I will come back after maternity leave and it is very unlikely that I will come back full time.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and teaching methodologies
- Prior classroom experience is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and adaptability
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, children, and families
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education is a plus
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about fostering a positive learning environment for young children
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
