Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Die Assembler/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling, fabricating, and maintaining precision die components and tooling used in our production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with machining . Duties
- Assemble die components and tooling according to schematics, drawings, and specifications
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision assembly
- Program and operate CNC machines such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines for fabrication tasks
- Interpret CAD drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD to guide fabrication processes
- Perform welding and other fabrication techniques to assemble parts securely
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and mathematical measurements for accurate assembly
- Conduct routine inspections of assembled dies for quality assurance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on design modifications or improvements
Material Preparation (Dies)
(a) Cut die plate (cut-off saw or band saw)
(b) Grind raw steel (surface grinder)
(c) Select proper drill and tap for holes to assemble die plate
(d) Drill holes using drill press
(e) Use milling machine for chamfering
(f) Taper die nose
(g) Square die plates (mill "fly-cutter" and hand sander
