Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support licensed physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with various therapeutic procedures, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, experience in hospital or acute care settings, and a genuine interest in helping patients recover and improve their mobility. Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists with implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises tailored to individual patient needs
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained
- Support patients during therapy sessions, providing guidance and encouragement to promote effective recovery
- Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in accordance with healthcare regulations
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility assistance as needed
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records when required
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice
- Experience in patient care, demonstrating compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant or related field is preferred but not mandatory
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
