Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Sandblaster/Painter to join our team. This role involves sandblasting, painting, and coating, various surfaces in commercial, and industrial applications. Our specialty is oil and gas tanks and vessels The Blaster/Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards and positive work atmosphere. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require attention to detail, effective time management, and clear communication skills.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by sandblasting, sanding, caulking, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Apply primer, paint, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other tools.
- Perform restoration work including surface repairs and preparation for painting/ coating projects.
- Operate rigging and scaffolding safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for surface prep and finishing tasks
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Communicate effectively with co workers to understand project requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment at all times
Experience
- Sandblasting experience with background in oil and gas projects preferred
- Proven ability in industrial painting environments.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns; power tools including drills and sanders
- Experience with rigging and scaffolding setup for elevated work areas
- Strong time management skills to complete projects efficiently within deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights and handling hazardous materials.
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
