Express is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our reputable clients in South Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality precision parts in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes and mills
- Load parts, adjust offsets, perform simple program edits, and inspect finished products
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and report equipment malfunctions
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Operate lifting equipment as required
Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with CNC lathes and milling machines
- Strong blueprint reading and precision measuring skills
- Familiarity with G-code/program editing considered an asset
- Experience with Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazatrol controls is preferred
- Red Seal Journeyperson CNC Machinist certification is an asset
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
- Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery
- Frequent standing, lifting, and physical activity required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance when needed
