The Opportunity
PAG Direct is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of our high-volume Hyundai dealerships in the GTA.
Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, the General Manager will be accountable for the dealership’s financial performance, customer experience, people development, and day-to-day operations across new and used vehicles, F&I, service, and parts.
We are looking for a complete dealership operator. The ideal candidate will bring high-volume import-dealership experience, strong financial discipline, and a proven ability to build capable teams.
Key Responsibilities
Dealership Leadership

Assume full accountability for the dealership’s P&L, budget, forecast, expenses, DOP and NOP

Recruit, coach and develop the management team while building succession plans and promoting talent from within

Maintain a strong relationship with Hyundai Canada and lead the dealership’s progress toward achieving the Hyundai President’s Award

Lead customer experience, reputation management and a culture of accountability, collaboration, ethical conduct and continuous improvement
Variable Operations - Sales

Lead new and used vehicle performance, including volume, market share, gross profit and inventory management

Drive a lease-focused sales strategy centred on renewals, pull-ahead opportunities, customer retention and repeat business through CRM utilization

Manage used vehicle acquisition, appraisals, pricing, reconditioning, aging and inventory turn

Oversee F&I performance, lender relationships, product penetration, funding, chargebacks and regulatory compliance
Fixed Operations - Aftersales

Lead service and parts performance with a focus on customer retention, profitability and operational efficiency

Monitor labour sales, technician productivity, effective labour rate, parts gross profit and service absorption

Strengthen collaboration between sales, service and parts to support lease retention, trade opportunities and customer lifetime value

Ensure strong warranty administration, repair quality and compliance with manufacturer standards
Training and Development

Ensure managers and employees complete all required Hyundai OEM product, process, compliance and certification training

Establish cross-functional training between sales, F&I, service, parts, BDC and administration

Develop department-specific training plans based on performance gaps, business priorities and employee development needs

Build a culture of continuous learning through coaching, succession planning and internal career development
Qualifications

Minimum five years of successful automotive dealership General Manager experience, or equivalent senior dealership leadership experience

Proven experience in a high-volume import-brand dealership is strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of dealership financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and full P&L management

Demonstrated experience across new vehicles, leasing, used vehicles, F&I, service and parts

Strong understanding of used vehicle aging, inventory turn, appraisal and reconditioning

Experience leading and developing department managers and large teams

Strong OEM relationship-management experience

Knowledge of the Ontario automotive retail and regulatory environment, valid OMVIC registration

Hyundai, Tekion, DealerTrack and vAuto experience are considered assets
