Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Construction Labourer/Worker to join our team and assist with various construction projects. This role involves supporting skilled tradespeople in building, repairing, and restoring sheet metal structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with hand tools, sheet metal buildings, and blueprint reading is a plus, but training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in construction. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience industry the sheet metal building construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general construction tasks including sranding walls, installing roofs, and material handling
- Operate hand tools such as grinders, drills, and snips safely and efficiently
- Support work by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform caulking, vaping, and other finishing tasks as needed
- Aid in projects by cleaning up work sites and preparing for next steps
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Assist with site cleanup to ensure efficient project progression
Qualifications
- Prior experience with hand tools, sheet metal, or general construction is preferred but not required; training available for motivated candidates
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus
- Knowledge of sheet metal building construction, insulation installation, caulking is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is needed. Transportation to out of town work provided.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various construction tasks
- Willingness to work out of town at times for weeks at a time.
- Able to work in harsh weather conditions a must.
- Able to start early (6:30 am) and work long hours (6:00 pm).
- Able to work all days of week.
- Willing to work overtime.
- Fall-protection and Self-propelled Elevated Work Platform Operator ticket needed prior to being on site.
- Nice to have or will need H2S, First Aid, Common Safety Orientation, Construction Training Safety Systems tickets.

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
