Overview
We are seeking a strongly motivated individual for the job of electromechanical technician in the oil and gas industry. You would learn the specialized job of inspecting, repairing and troubleshooting generators and electric motors on site. We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to learning and working this job long term. A willingess to learn quickly and ability to perform physical labour is a must.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead technician to: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical equipment and systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Participate in preventative maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve system reliability.
- communicate with lead technician and operators
- work out of town and stay in camp occassionally
- have the ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment
- learn to work independently and proactively
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical engineering expertise is an asset, but we are willing to teach necessary skills to work the job
- drivers license
- ability to learn quickly and work independently and as a team
- strong work ethic; strive for excellence
- ability to think proactively and be resourceful
- industry tickets including Frist Aid with CPR and H2S Alive

Pay: $23.00-$37.68 per hour
