The Job: Prep Supervisor (Prep – Machining)
As the Prep Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to lead and operate the Prep department to achieve company standards, production goals, and quality expectations. You will create an environment that drives success through leadership, accountability, and teamwork while ensuring alignment with MC3 values. The Prep Department consists of Laser cutting, Saw Cutting, Machining, and Press brake.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Provide clear roles and responsibilities for team members
- Hold team members accountable for results, processes, behaviour, and values
- Lead by example with high performance and integrity
- Train and develop new and existing employees
- Encourage, recognize, and engage the team daily
Operations & Production Management
- Schedule and plan work for the next 24 hours
- Assign work and ensure team members are set up for success
- Maintain flow by lining up the next job before completion of the current one
- Monitor progress and adjust as needed to meet targets
- Ensure materials are prepared and organized for downstream departments
- Maintain control of floor operations and team productivity
Monitor quality & continuous Improvement
Work with our internal software and ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable
- Solid understanding of production flow, scheduling, and shop floor operations
- Strong communicator with good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using ERP/Flow systems and Microsoft Office
- Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Compensation
$38.00 per hour | Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours per week, plus discretionary bonus.
Approximate total annual earnings, including overtime: $90,000–$95,000+, depending on hours worked
