Summary
The Skilled Painter & Visual Installation Technician position at Illusion Images Ltd. offers an opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to high-end mural and finish projects across multiple job sites. This role is ideal for someone who values precision, takes pride in clean work, and has exposure to wide-format vinyl and graphic installation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces and set up work areas with a strong focus on precision (taping baseboards, ceilings, and masking)
- Apply paint using brush and roller techniques to achieve clean, professional finishes
- Assist with wide-format vinyl and graphic installation across various surfaces
- Work with a variety of materials similar to sign shop environments
- Safely handle, move, and organize tools, equipment, and materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
- Travel to different job sites on a weekly basis
- Follow safety protocols, including working at heights when required
- Manage time effectively to meet project timelines while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in painting with strong prep and finishing skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to perform precise masking and surface preparation
- Physically capable of lifting and handling equipment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required)
- Comfortable working at heights
- Dependable, professional, and self-motivated
Preferred Experience (Assets)
- Background in a sign shop or multi-material production environment
- Wide-format vinyl and graphic installation experience
- Scissor lift certification
Work Environment & Expectations
- Projects are located at various job sites; travel is required
- Work involves both independent tasks and team collaboration
