At this time, Mazzei Electric Ltd. is hiring a Corporate Purchaser to be based out of our Victoria office.
Responsibilities
· Manage and maintain the automated Purchasing & Inventory systems;
· Data input of Purchase Orders
· Ensure Purchase Orders are correctly issued according to Company Policy in a timely manner and in support of Project Managers and Supervisors
· Monitor and ensure pricing provided by suppliers is accurate and competitive
· Ensure that deliveries against Purchase Orders are accurate and ensure proper controls are in place to identify and resolve pricing and quantity variances
· Oversee maintenance of the Company vehicle fleet
· Maintain effective working relationships with vendors, customers and team members
· Assist with or complete periodic inventory counts as required.
· Other duties as required.
Qualifications
· Superior organizational skills
· Attention to detail
· Minimum of three years’ experience in purchasing electrical materials required
· Understanding of electrical prints and electrical system designs
· Demonstrated strength with the MS Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Experience with the use computerized purchasing, inventory and accounting systems (ERP)
· Ability to adapt and excel in rapidly changing environment – we are a high growth company
· Ability to prioritize among competing objectives
· Ability to effectively manage customer, team and supplier relationships
· Experience in negotiating pricing and contracts
· A related degree, diploma, red seal ticket, or professional certification in purchasing management is an asset.
