Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required for this position.
- Support the project management team by developing and maintaining project schedules for oil and gas projects.
- Assist Project Managers with overall project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities.
- Maintain and update project schedules on a regular and consistent basis to reflect project progress.
- Prepare Earned Value Management (EVM) and project performance reporting.
- Liaise closely with Project Management and project stakeholders on all planning and scheduling matters.
- Monitor schedule deviations across assigned disciplines or areas of work and escalate findings to senior scheduling analysts for review.
- Participate in the development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and prepare corresponding project schedules, including resource-loaded schedules.
- Support the project change management process as it relates to schedule impacts and updates.
- Lead and support the development of integrated project schedules, identifying all activities required to deliver project scope, products, and services.
- Apply and maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) principles in schedule development and maintenance.
- Integrate schedule inputs from engineers, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders into a comprehensive master project schedule.
- Identify critical paths and perform float analysis, including near-critical path assessment.
- Develop schedule visuals such as Gantt charts, logic network diagrams, time-scaled schedules, and resource histograms.
- Establish and maintain project performance measurement systems using baseline schedules and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project management to define goals, milestones, success criteria, and overall project performance expectations.
- Track project progress and develop/update progress curves for reporting purposes.
- Perform project performance analysis, including Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
- Develop and maintain project schedules based on defined execution strategies and philosophies.
- Prepare regular schedule updates and maintain schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Collect, validate, and distribute schedule-related data across project teams.
- Effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project control activities.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve scheduling discrepancies and project control issues.
- Communicate planning and scheduling processes clearly to project team members to ensure understanding and alignment.
- Support coordination with peer groups and other project functions.
- Ensure accuracy of schedule data and adherence to project deadlines.
- Minimum 2 years of scheduling experience in an EPCM project environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, engineering, construction, or a related discipline (oil and gas experience preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Highly organized, results-driven individual with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Construction experience is considered an asset but not mandatory.
- Certification such as Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered an asset.
