JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Assistant M365 Administrator.
Reporting to the Section Manager, Microsoft Application Services, this position is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and maintenance of Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Microsoft Copilot, and Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate).
The successful candidate will support platform operations, user requests, governance processes, security administration, troubleshooting activities, and service improvement initiatives. Working closely with senior team members, they will assist with investigating incidents, administering access and permissions, maintaining documentation, implementing automation solutions, and ensuring a secure, reliable, and well-governed Microsoft 365 environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Copilot, Exchange Online, and Power Platform.
- Respond to service requests, incidents, and operational support activities in accordance with established service levels and operational procedures.
- Configure, maintain, and support Microsoft 365 permissions, security groups, RBAC assignments, and governance controls.
- Assist with troubleshooting platform issues, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, knowledge articles, and user support materials.
- Assist with platform audits, reporting, compliance activities, and data analysis to support governance and operational requirements.
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives using tools such as Power Automate, PowerShell, and Microsoft Graph.
- Perform other duties as required in support of organizational objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a four-year university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting or administering Microsoft 365 services in a corporate environment.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 workloads, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Microsoft Copilot, and/or Power Platform.
- Experience supporting users, troubleshooting technical issues, resolving operational incidents, and managing user access, permissions, and security groups within Microsoft 365 environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, governance, collaboration services, and security best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, customer service, documentation, and knowledge-sharing skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with automation, scripting, Microsoft Graph, and IT service management processes (incident, request, problem, or change management) is considered an asset.
