Overview
Previous golf course or landscaping experience is an asset, but not necessary. Responsible for the maintenance, care and overall appearance of the golf course and amenities, including operating motorized and walk-behind mowers to cut greens, as well as weed whackers. As work depends on the weather, flexibility is a must.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing and trimming.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper operation and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Assist with greens preparation, fertilization, and weed control.
- Conduct routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Support overall site cleanliness by removing debris and ensuring the outdoor area and golf carts are tidy.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards.
- Plan daily schedule and give direction to student greenskeep helpers.
Skills
- Ability to operate power tools including trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers safely.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices such as fertilizing.
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems and troubleshooting common issues.
- Strong interest in outdoor maintenance.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
