Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Key Holder/Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations, providing excellent customer service, and leading team members effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage retail or hospitality environments confidently. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills while supporting store or department functions.
Duties
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Assist customers with inquiries, product information, and upselling opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and perform cash handling duties
- Maintain merchandising standards through effective display and organization of products
- Supervise staff, delegate tasks, and ensure team members adhere to company policies
- Manage inventory levels, perform filing, and maintain organized records
- Support sales goals through effective upselling and customer engagement strategies
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff
- Provide training and mentorship to new team members as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, hospitality, or supervisory roles preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing teams or shifts
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel; basic computer operation skills required
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and record keeping
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and stand for extended periods
- Strong customer service orientation with effective interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Multilingual capabilities are highly desirable to enhance customer interactions
