Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations within the dental office and providing exceptional patient service. Candidates with prior dental office experience and familiarity with electronic medical records are highly preferred. Strong communication skills, proficiency in multi-line phone systems, and knowledge of dental software abeldent are valuable assets for this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental management software
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and take messages
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
- Collect payments, co-pays, and process billing transactions efficiently
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and correspondence
- Support the dental team by preparing necessary paperwork and documentation for procedures
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications
- Prior at least 2yrs experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office setting required
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as abeldent is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is a plus
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and administrative office procedures
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to provide exceptional patient service
