The Chase Chamber & Visitor Centre is seeking two outstanding individuals to join our team as Lead Adventure Guides at Shuswap Adventure Park.
Formerly known as TreeTop Flyers Zipline, the new Shuswap Adventure Park name reflects the growing range of attractions, experiences, and adventures already being offered and those planned for the future.
Our 2026 season is scheduled to begin at the end of June, with paid training provided beforehand. Regular operations will run through July and August and conclude on the Labour Day long weekend. Additional shifts may be available through Thanksgiving weekend based on private group bookings, special events, and seasonal demand.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with visitors, leading a team, and helping create memorable experiences for guests from around the world.
As a Lead Adventure Guide, you'll play a key role in ensuring tours and attractions operate safely, efficiently, and professionally while mentoring younger staff and helping guests feel welcome and confident throughout their adventure. You'll help deliver experiences on the ziplines, the 100' Screaming Eagle Swing, and the 50' Tower Jump while serving as an ambassador for both Shuswap Adventure Park and the Chase community.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise daily adventure park operations and tours
- Operate and oversee the park's zipline experiences, 100-foot Giant Swing, and 50-foot Tower Jump
- Drive guests to and from the tour site (Class 4 licence preferred)
- Conduct daily safety inspections, equipment checks, and operational documentation
- Assist with site maintenance, trail upkeep, and facility improvements
- Provide visitor information and local tourism recommendations during tours and at the Adventure Park base area
- Assist with guest check-in, waivers, harness fitting, and safety briefings
- Help train, mentor, and support Experience Guides and seasonal staff
- Create or contribute content for social media, marketing, website updates, and promotional campaigns during quieter periods
- Support special events, group bookings, and community tourism initiatives throughout the season

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid BC Class 4 Driver's Licence
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- First Aid certification (training can be arranged for successful candidates who do not currently hold certification)
- Experience in tourism, recreation, guiding, transportation, outdoor leadership, customer service, or similar fields
- Experience working at heights, with ropes, climbing systems, challenge courses, or other adventure tourism activities is an asset
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable hiking on uneven terrain multiple times per day
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and navigate trails for extended periods
- Able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
- Comfortable working at heights and assisting guests in an active outdoor environment
- Sufficient upper-body strength and mobility to perform safety procedures, equipment handling, and emergency response tasks
Schedule & Compensation
- Starting wage of $22.50 per hour
- Up to $25.00 per hour for candidates with a valid Class 4 licence, manual transmission experience, and/or previous adventure tourism or leadership experience
- We are open to both full-time and part-time Lead Adventure Guides. If you already have another position and are looking to supplement your income with 2–3 days per week in a fun and active outdoor environment, we'd still encourage you to apply.
- Scheduling will be developed collaboratively to balance operational needs and staff availability wherever possible.

This position is employed and administered by the Chase Chamber & Visitor Centre on behalf of Shuswap Adventure Park. Successful applicants will join a growing team dedicated to creating safe, memorable, and authentic experiences for visitors while supporting tourism and community development in Chase.
Pay: $22.50-$25.00 per hour
