H2Oil is hiring a Hot Oiler Operator to support our growing oilfield services operations in the Grande Prairie area.
H2Oil Energy Inc. is a long-standing oilfield services provider in the Peace Region. Our operations include fluid hauling, vac and hydro-vac services, high-pressure jetting, turnaround support, and hot oiling services.
We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused operator who takes pride in doing the job properly, looking after equipment, and representing the company professionally on customer locations.
Job Overview
The Hot Oiler Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of hot oiling equipment in support of oil and gas production, maintenance, facility, and pipeline work.
This is a field-based position that requires strong operating judgment, mechanical awareness, and the ability to work safely around heat, pressure, and fluid handling equipment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, communicating with dispatch and customer representatives, and following all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
This is a local Grande Prairie and area position, and relocation assistance is not provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hot oiler units safely and efficiently in field and facility environments.
- Perform hot oiling, fluid heating, circulating, and related pressure work as required.
- Monitor pressure, temperature, fluid levels, and equipment performance during operations.
- Identify and report equipment maintenance or repair concerns.
- Maintain accurate field tickets, logs, and required paperwork.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, coworkers, and customer representatives.
- Follow all company policies, customer site requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area, including unit cleanliness and basic upkeep.
- Support other field operations as required.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2-3 years hot oiler experience is required.
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Comfortable working around heat, pressure, and fluid handling equipment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work with limited supervision.
Assets:
- Experience working on production, facility, pipeline, or turnaround projects.
- Relevant oilfield safety tickets (H2S, First Aid, etc.).
- Basic hot oiler equipment maintenance knowledge.
