Job Summary:
The Room Attendant at Amsterdam Inn & Suites Sussex reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor and plays an important role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all guests. This position is responsible for maintaining guest rooms and public areas to company standards while delivering friendly and professional service.
Daily duties include cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms and bathrooms, changing linens, making beds, vacuuming, dusting, replenishing guest amenities and supplies, and ensuring all rooms are properly prepared for arriving guests. Room Attendants are also responsible for maintaining cleanliness in hallways, stairwells, and other public areas as assigned.
The successful candidate will follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures, respond promptly to guest requests when needed, report maintenance concerns or damaged items, and assist with laundry or additional housekeeping tasks during busy periods. Attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work independently are essential in this role.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent guest service.
