TDB Consultants Inc. in Prince George, BC is hiring! The Log Scaler is responsible for scaling logs, weighing trucks and checking data quality for TDB’s clients in a fast paced, high volume environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Record and Evaluate Log Quality
- Measure Logs to Calculate Volume, Dimensions, And Grades
- Assess Log Lengths and Mark Boles for Bucking
- Obtain and Enter Accurate Data
- Weigh and Scale Logging Trucks
- Perform Waste and Residue Surveys
- Use Ministry Approved Software
- Maintain and Clean Scale Sites and Infrastructure
- Contribute to a Team Environment Focused on Safety, Quality, And Production
WHAT DO YOU REQUIRE?
- Experience within the Outdoors
- Knowledge of the Forest Industry
- Log Scaling Experience is an asset
- An Interior Log Scaling Licence*
- Technologically Literate; Proficient in Using Multiple Technological Devices
- An Aptitude for Numbers; Attention to Detail; Ability to Work Calmly Under Pressure; Self-Motivated
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communications
- A Valid B.C. Driver’s Licence
- Ability and Willingness to Travel
