Our well-established client in Woodstock is currently hiring both Junior Welders and Senior Welder/Fitters. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a custom fabrication shop environment are encouraged to apply. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and independent
- Strong blueprint reading skills from shop drawings and engineered drawings
- Strong knowledge of fit-up procedures
- Strong understanding of weld symbols and CWB welding procedures
- Experience fitting small and large weldments using layout tools and fixtures
- Ability to accurately read and use measuring instruments such as tape measures, squares, and levels
- Ability to identify weld defects and non-conforming parts
- Experience setting up and operating MIG welding equipment for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Experience with custom fabrication and adapting to customer-specific requirements
Preferred Skills & Assets
- Saw cutting operation experience
- Pipe bender operation experience
- SMAW welding experience
- Experience using cutting torches and handheld plasma equipment
- Experience maintaining industrial equipment
- Forklift operation experience
- Overhead crane operation experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting
