About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Performance Coach to join our high-performance team. This role focuses on developing athletes through evidence-based training, integrating sports science principles with practical coaching to maximize performance, reduce injury risk, and support long-term athletic development.
The successful candidate will design and deliver individualized and sport-specific performance programs that enhance strength, power, speed, agility, mobility, and conditioning. Working collaboratively with our team and allied health professionals, the Performance Coach will use objective testing, athlete monitoring, and performance data to guide programming and optimize outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement individualized and team-based performance programs based on current sports science research.
- Develop long-term athlete development and periodized training plans aligned with competition calendars.
- Conduct physical performance testing, including assessments of strength, power, speed, agility, movement quality, and conditioning.
- Monitor athlete readiness, training load, fatigue, and recovery using objective and subjective performance measures.
- Coach technical movement skills, including sprint mechanics, Olympic lifting, plyometrics, and change-of-direction techniques.
- Implement evidence-based injury prevention strategies and collaborate with medical and rehabilitation professionals during return-to-performance.
- Analyze performance data to evaluate progress and refine training programs.
- Work closely with sport coaches to integrate physical preparation with technical and tactical development.
- Educate athletes on recovery, nutrition, sleep, and performance habits.
- Maintain accurate athlete records and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sport Science, Human Performance, or a related field.
- Accredited strength and conditioning certification (CSCS, ASCA, UKSCA, or equivalent).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience working with competitive or high-performance athletes.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Sport Science or a related discipline.
- Experience using performance technology such as force plates, velocity-based training systems, timing gates, GPS, and athlete management software.
- Experience in multidisciplinary high-performance environments.

Pay: $30,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
