Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests during breakfast hours, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food handling or the food industry. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Weekend availability is required (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
- Early morning shifts
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with their breakfast needs
- Prepare and serve breakfast items according to established standards, including food presentation and portion control
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and serving stations
- Replenish food supplies and ensure all items are stocked throughout service hours
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling and storage of food products
- Assist with setup and breakdown of breakfast service area before and after shifts
- Provide attentive customer service by addressing guest inquiries and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy hours
Skills
- Previous restaurant experience or background in the food industry is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or food handling is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Barista experience or hospitality background is a plus but not required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a positive attitude
- Valid Food Handler Certificate is required.
- Smart Serve Certification is considered an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
