About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Community Support Worker to support individuals living at our Hawkmount Group Home. Individuals may have complex needs including cerebral palsy, developmental disabilities, dementia, scoliosis, visual and hearing impairments, and behavioural support needs.
In this role, you will provide personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, household support, community access, and transportation to appointments and recreational activities. You will also implement individualized support plans and promote independence, dignity, and community inclusion.

You are compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting individuals with disabilities. You build positive relationships, maintain professional boundaries, and take a proactive approach to helping individuals achieve their goals. You are comfortable providing full personal care, supporting community participation, completing documentation, and working as part of a team.
Qualifications
Required
- Diploma in Human Services, Disability Services, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability insurance
- Emergency First Aid and CPR Level A
- Intermediate computer and documentation skills
- Ability to provide medical, behavioural, physical, and personal care supports
Preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and complex needs
- Medication Administration training
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental delays
- One to two years of related experience in Human Services
- Training in NVCI, APRP, PBS, or related programs
Additional training may be provided, including lift and transfer techniques, personal care, ostomy care, and G-tube care.
