Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to support our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn about food safety and food handling procedures. Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus but not required. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment following proper sanitation procedures
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling as directed by kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, counters, and storage areas
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Support the serving staff during busy periods by providing clean dishes and utensils
- Help with organizing supplies and restocking items as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cooking, food service, or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn about meal preparation and kitchen operations
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
