Wingate by Wyndham Calgary Airport
Wingate by Wyndham Calgary Airport is looking for a reliable, hands-on, and service-oriented Maintenance Lead to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests, and providing airport shuttle transportation when required.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Duties
- Perform daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior grounds.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain maintenance records.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliances, fixtures, and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers as required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and brand standards.
- Maintain hotel grounds, including seasonal tasks such as snow removal, ice control, and basic landscaping.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and recommend purchases when needed.
- Assist with room renovations, painting, and other improvement projects.
Shuttle Driver Duties
- Safely transport guests to and from Calgary International Airport using the hotel shuttle.
- Provide friendly and professional guest service during all shuttle trips.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
- Keep the shuttle clean, presentable, and fueled.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving a passenger shuttle van in all weather conditions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing maintenance-related tasks.
