Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a some background in flooring installation along with experience in various related construction disciplines. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a range of tools and techniques to deliver high-quality results. The Flooring Installer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing flooring surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, ensuring safety, precision, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine flooring specifications and layout.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary substrates or adhesives.
- Install various types of flooring materials such as tile, laminate, vinyl, or carpet according to project requirements.
- Use hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels, trowels) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) safely and efficiently during installation processes.
- Perform related tasks including caulking seams, sealing edges, and finishing surfaces for a professional appearance.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and building codes throughout all phases of installation.
Experience
- Proven experience in flooring installation is required; familiarity with tile laying is highly desirable.
- Construction experience encompassing carpentry, concrete forming or finishing, masonry, or restoration is a plus.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics essential for accurate project execution.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to flooring and general construction work.
- Experience with construction estimating can be beneficial for project planning.
- Additional skills such as flooring weld, are highly valuable
- Prior work involving rip out and instal

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
