Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role is essential in creating a positive atmosphere for guests and supporting the overall success of our establishment. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, but a strong customer service attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS if available
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high-quality service standards
- Handle cash or credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout shifts
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
Experience
- Prior food service or restaurant experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Lightspeed POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest relations
- Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tables or tasks simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
