Overview
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Automotive Technician to join our reputable dealership team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive repair, and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues. Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using schematics, power tools, and hand tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct repairs including engine work, brake service, suspension, transmission, and other automotive systems
- Utilize welding skills for body repairs or component fabrication when necessary
- Follow manufacturer specifications and schematics to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use assembly techniques for installing parts and components during repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed records of services performed for each vehicle
- Assist with vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met before returning vehicles to customers
- Adhere to safety protocols, including heavy lifting procedures and proper tool handling
Requirements
- Valid automotive technician license or certification in accordance with state regulations
- Proven dealership or mechanic experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required during repairs or parts handling
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively about repair needs and solutions
- Experience with automotive maintenance, assembly, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
