Commercial Tire Technician Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tires for a variety of vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have experience with both hand and power tools. A commitment to providing excellent customer service is essential as you will interact with customers to ensure their needs are met effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, balance, and repair tires on various types of vehicles.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tires to identify wear patterns and potential issues.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently in tire maintenance tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns regarding tire care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Assist in the sales of tires and related products, offering recommendations based on customer needs.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when handling tires and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of services.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic is preferred.
- Proven experience in install, balance, and repair tires on various types of vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot tire-related issues.
- Familiarity with both hand tools and power tools used in tire installation and repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in a dealership environment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job duties.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential attributes for success in this role.
