Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of a commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of facilities through reliable cleaning and maintenance practices. The hours are monday to friday from 8 am to 2 pm holidays and weekends are off :)
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures to uphold a professional appearance
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning products as needed
- Handle waste disposal and ensure trash receptacles are emptied regularly
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management for prompt resolution
- Adhere to established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure consistent facility standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and moving supplies or equipment
- Reliable work ethic with punctuality and professionalism at all times
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean working environment
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
