Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Labourer to join our team here at Coastal Glass. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of glass-related tasks in a fast-paced shop environment. Experience in the glass or construction industry is considered an asset. This position offers the opportunity to develop valuable hands-on skills while working with a team committed to quality workmanship and safety. Duties
- Measuring and cutting glass, mirror, and various types of glass materials
- Fabrication and installation of sealed units ( Commercial and Residential)
- Operate basic tools and machinery safely under supervision
- Removal and Installation of windshields, back glass, and side glass in all types of vehicles
- Handling and moving glass safely
- Support coworkers with their tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily operations
- Assist in site preparation, cleanup, and other related activities to ensure project efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience or background in manual labor, construction, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety and detail
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in construction or maintenance work is advantageous
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment
Pay: $16.35-$20.00 per hour
