Job description
We're looking for a reliable, hardworking team member to join our kitchen crew as a Dishwasher & Kitchen Prep. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that keeps our kitchen running smoothly — you'll join the backbone of our back-of-house operation.
Responsibilities
Dishwashing & Sanitation
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes and equipment in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish station throughout the shift
- Empty and reline trash receptacles; remove garbage as needed
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and floors
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Kitchen Prep
- Assist in basic food preparation as directed by the kitchen supervisor (chopping, peeling, portioning, etc.)
- Stock and rotate ingredients, ensuring proper labeling and dating
- Receive and organize deliveries; alert management to any discrepancies
- Maintain proper food storage practices in line with health code standards
- Set up and break down prep stations before and after service
What We're Looking For
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Team player who takes pride in a clean, organized workspace
- Prior kitchen or food service experience is a plus — but not required; we'll train the right person
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time / Full-time: Tuesday-Sunday 11:30 AM - 9PM
- Pay: $17.60/hour — commensurate with experience
