Overview:
Canadian Alliance Terminals (CAT) is a third-party logistics warehouse, specializing in serving customers primarily in the consumer-packaged goods sector. The Quality and Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role within CAT's Quality department, reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. This position is responsible for managing processes designed to ensure both product quality and inventory accuracy, with a key focus on maintaining data integrity within the warehouse management system.
This role combines database administration with hands-on warehouse operations, dedicating the majority of time to resolving inventory discrepancies and addressing quality-related issues.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1) Provides live support and direction to warehouse associates on the warehouse floor who encounter an inventory discrepancy, and keys in necessary inventory system adjustments.
2) Facilitates and provides investigatory support to warehouse operations in locating lost inventory.
3) Conduct frequent cycle counts and full inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize waste due to spoilage or damage.
4) Administers the ‘inventory discrepancy report’ process, that collects, analyses, investigates, solves, and fixes inventory discrepancies reported by warehouse staff, in CAT’s warehouse management system.
5) Administers the ‘damage’ process that collects, investigates, and moves received and in-house damage to a quarantine area, facilitates a disposition plan, and coordinates the execution of the disposition. Owns the quarantine area.
6) Administers the lost / damage product claims process, collecting, calculating, processing, and responding to claims submitted by customers.
7) Administers and coordinates with warehouse operations, to perform internal and customer-requested inventory counts.
8) Administers training and regular retraining of warehouse associates on proper protocols for handling inventory and the use of scan guns.
9) Ensure the warehouse complies with food safety regulations such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)
10) Maintain detailed records of inspections, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and food safety checks.
11) Is a ‘super-user’ of CAT’s warehouse management system.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
