SPS is recruiting for a Millwright - Red Seal to join our Maintenance Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Millwright will support both the Production and Maintenance departments by responding to production line issues, completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting machinery, and supporting the reliability of equipment and facility assets. This role is well suited for an individual who is safety-conscious, self-motivated, team-oriented, positive, and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Respond to production line maintenance needs and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
Work collaboratively with Production and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.
Repair, inspect, and troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and facility-related issues as required.
Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement related to SPS’s pneumatic, conveyance and hydraulic manufacturing systems.
Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and productivity standards.
Participate in and make recommendations related to safety, environmental performance, quality, productivity, and customer feedback.

HOURS OF WORK:

Rotating Shifts 2 weeks days/2weeks afternoons

Days: Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm

Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 4:30-1am and Fridays 3:30pm-12am

Overtime may be required i.e., after shift / Weekends for Physical Inventory or Production requirements

Requirements:

Completion of a recognized Millwright 433a Program.

Valid Red Seal Millwright Certification required.

3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

· Welding experience, including stick and MIG welding, and fabrication experience are preferred.

· Experience using a variety of hand and power tools

· Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a close team environment.

· Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and self-direct when required.

· Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.

· Strong attention to detail.

Asset Skills:

· Fanuc Robot Operations and Maintenance Requirements is considered an asset

· Experience with any CMMS Programs (Fiix, SAP, eMaint, MP2) an asset

· Light machining experience, including use of a lathe, milling machine, or similar equipment, is considered an asset.

· Knowledge of PLCs, CC Link, GX Works, Ladder Logic Navigation and low-voltage electrical systems is considered an asset.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office is considered an asset.

· Strong ability to work alongside team members and support co-workers as needed.
