Trillium Animal Hospital is a new, locally owned small animal veterinary hospital opening in Duncan, BC. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing team. As an RVT at Trillium Animal Hospital, you will be an integral part of patient care, working closely with our veterinarians to provide high-quality medical, surgical, dental, and nursing care.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to hospitalized and outpatient patients.
- Administer medications, treatments, and anesthesia as prescribed.
- Monitor anesthesia and recover patients safely following procedures.
- Assist with surgical and dental procedures.
- Perform dental prophylaxis and obtain high-quality dental radiographs.
- Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory testing.
- Place and maintain intravenous catheters.
- Obtain diagnostic radiographs and assist with ultrasound and other imaging procedures.
- Educate clients on preventive care, medications, nutrition, and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
- Help maintain hospital equipment, inventory, and treatment protocols.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, assistants, and client care representatives to provide seamless patient care.
- Mentor and support veterinary assistants while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing.
- Experience with dentistry and dental radiography.
- Proficiency in venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory diagnostics, and radiology.
- Interest or experience in emergency medicine, dentistry, ultrasound, rehabilitation, or other specialty areas is welcomed.
