We are looking to hire an experienced pharmacist to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba as a pharmacy manager at Isabel Pharmacy.
We are an independently owned and operated pharmacy with a long history to serving the surrounding community in Winnipeg. Our team works alongside the Isabel Medical Center, providing the opportunity to practice in a collaborative environment. The pharmacy will be supported by a management team that can help our new pharmacy manager transition into the role and ensure that appropriate training and guidance is provided.

Hours of Operation:
The store's hours are Monday - Friday - 9:30am - 5:30pm. We are currently closed on weekends and statutory holidays.
Additional Position Details:
Compensation: Salary TBD (experience and education taken into consideration). Our base compensation starts at $65/hr.

Pharmacy Manager Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Comply with (and keep informed of) all government standards and regulations applicable to the pharmacy and ensure staff are trained on regulatory and legal requirements.
- Develop business strategies that support our goals and guiding statements of the company.
- Leads staff members in the pharmacy by assigning work tasks, supervising, evaluating, training, and scheduling work shifts for all employees
- Deliver a high standard of usual pharmacy functions including preparation and checking of prescriptions to ensure proper procedures have been followed ensuring accurate preparation and counselling of medication.
- Will advise patients and give them proper directions for taking prescription drugs, supplements, and over-the-counter medications.
- Will administer immunizations and vaccines to patients, following all safety and cleanliness procedures.
- Will follow controlled substance and narcotic protocols in accordance with provincial and federal standards of practice
- Consult with physicians and medical staff on proper medication dosages and address prescription errors
- Will follow all opening and closing procedures for the pharmacy.
- Will oversee ordering and inventory control
- Will ensure that all employees, including themselves, maintain all pharmacy and store protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D.
- Currently a licensed Pharmacist in Manitoba and in good standing with the College of Pharmacy
- Superior interpersonal skills, with a commitment to provide exceptional customer service
- Highly organized, takes initiative, and has excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to details
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Addresses and manages customer problems and complaints in compliance with College of Pharmacy standards.
- Be open to working with the University of Manitoba as a preceptor for the College of Pharmacy's Experiential Education program
